My name is Mads-Jakob Vad Kristensen. A journalist by education I have spent the last more than 10 years working with concept and business development, project management and business management within new media for some of the biggest media companies in the Danish market. I like to think that I’m one of those fortunate guys, who have been able to transfer my hobby and passion into a full-blown career and a nice living. Or put another way: I’m having fun every day – and get paid for it.

As a person I like to ponder where we have been, and what challenges and opportunities can be addressed through the meaningful use of digital media. I believe the potential to be endless, but I’m not drifting off in the clouds. I have a profound belief that things need to make sense on a very practical, intuitive level for the indivial user, before we’re on to something really big. And oh, I constantly refer to the user as ‘the customer’, since I also believe that worthwhile things doing should be transferred into nice business models and revenue streams.

I currently work for Berlingske Media – one of Denmarks largest private media companies  - as director of digital development. In essence this means that aside from being a part of the senior management team of the company, I’m overlooking digital business development, product planning & product development plus overseing our mobile development efforts.
